Hotel Mamallaa Heritage

A very pleasant 2 night stay en route to Pondicherry. Conveniently located for seeing all the sights, with very warm and welcoming front desk staff. Nice clean room and bathroom, with good water pressure. Breakfast was included in the price, and offered a good selection.

The pictures of the website are very deceptive.||The hotel is more like a lodge than a hotel. Certainly not worth the tariff rates.||Tiny rooms. Ac that did not cool. And a tiny reception area that did not look well maibtained nor welcoming.||Could not imagine a hotel room that was so over priced would be so basic.||Certainly not worth it.

The hotel is situated very close to the Shore Temple, and the ambiance is quite pleasant. The staff members were very courteous and polite, and the quality of the food was satisfactory. Overall, it is one of the better hotels in the town.

Value for money Hotel in Mahabalipuram. Main attractions like Shore temple, Five Ratha, Arjuna's penance and the beach are close by. Rooms:- our room was a little spacious and had a work table, tea coffee maker and a couch. Second floor rooms have a swimming pool view and it's amazing around sunset. Buffet breakfast:- They serve an amazing buffet breakfast and have a variety of options. The spread has south indian delicacies like idali, dosa, vada, upama, seasonal fruits, eggs, cereals fresh juice, muffins, bread and hot beverages. Served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Restaurants:- We tried two of their restaurants and the food was delicious with a variety of options in south meals, Chinese and North Indian cuisine. Parking:- Large parking space is available which can accommodate 20 to 25 cars. Service:- All the service staff are helpful and always greet you with a smile.

The Mamallaa Heritage is One of the best hotel in mahabalipuram. Located very near to the beach. Foreign nationals stay here too. It has a very clean swimming pool. This is definitely recommended to whoever is reading my comment. Stayed here for six days. Room service is provided on call at any moment. I had a very happy and satisfied stay here. The actual rooms are same as seen in the uploaded photos. So don't worry about rooms, come and have a peaceful stay here.

Poor experience on entering the hotel. Worst proposition offered by this hotel of charging extra for kids for accommodating them in the same room. Even speaking to the hotel management was not considerate and kept arguing stating as hotel policy. Spoilt the experience the mood totally. Word of caution - All the 5 Star rated reviews are paid and solicited reviews given by Local Guides ( please check n confirm for your self) who could either family or friends of the hotel management. Most other genuine guests have poorly rated this hotel. Highly expensive food. Although its a 3 Star Hotel but food prices are at par with any 5-Star Hotel prices. Not worth seriously. Hotel is charging premium prices only for its location been near to beach n couple of monuments to visit near by like Krishna butter ball, shore Temple, Sculpture Museum etc. Else the price charged by hotel is not worth it. Breakfast buffet menu was quite limited dishes. Although they call it buffet but you need to order for everything be it Dosa, Puri bhaji, tea etc. once food reaches you it's already cold. Have to drink cold tea and eat cold dosa. So suggest to avoid and look for some better options

Had a really bad experience with them. Booked online through agoda and they didn't mention that you need to provide individual I'd proof of all people. Was travelling with my son and booked it for the afternoon. Didn't have physical I'd proof of my son, I had the front of his aadhaar photo, and they refused to let us check in saying that it's their policy that they can't let people check in unless they submit proof entirely even if it was a family Staff refused to co-operate or help out

Rooms are little rusty and shoddily maintained. Limited room service menu. But good service and always helpful. That made the stay really welcome.
