SPOT ON Deep Guest House

This is a guest house situated just near golden temple entry(only 5-6) minutes walk through the street. Just about 40m lane is narrow which is fine because all primitive places have narrow lanes. But Rickshaw n all is readily available. The room was nice and clean, bathroom was clean, geyser and all other amenities provided. In general if you want to stay near and convenient to Golden temple, this is a good place. Great hospitality by owner, even arranged pickup and drop for me from railway station because I was traveling at odd hour. Overall good experience.

I had visited Amritsar for three days and I was staying at the Deep Guest House . My overall experience is Pretty good , I will be explaining my experience by making the following points . Location : You need the help of Google maps to reach the destination but Darbar Sahib is just a walk from it and the owner Mr Mohit will tell you the short route to the Darbar Sahib . Service: Do not expect a Water bottle from the owner , it is simply a guest house you live , take some rest and then go outside and watch the city . But the overall location is very good it is in between that part of Amritsar which is worth watching .

I would like to discuss this a little briefly. Location:- If you want to stay as close as possible from Golden Temple, you can check this but it's located in between a big wholesale market where you have to walk a bit to reach your hotel, they might provide Rickshaw to pick you but will not drop you in the time of checkout 😉 We have easily visited Golden Temple at mid night, but then something happened which we don't expect will take about this later. Rooms:- My fast impression was pathetic as rooms are too small and i found two used soap in the bathroom 😅. They are providing fresh soap and tawal after asking for that. Toilets are dirty and in one room zed spray was not working for that they offered us a different room whose room size is big. Room Service:- Don't expect anything about that. As i have previously shared we have visited Golden Temple middle of the night then when we return to the hotel doors was locked and after calling so many time they didn't pickup our call and that night we sliped in our car. Conclusion If you are looking for a room at a low price near golden temple go for this but don't expect much from a service prospective.

Zero room service. Not even drinking water get provided. The location is within a congested location, no parking facility. Even a two Wheeler cannot reach this place. This OYO deep guest house made a tieup with OYO, that's why people are getting trapped in this place while booking. AC room costs 750/- rupees per day (I have booked in the month of August, 2023). The only advantage is the Golden Temple that can be reached within 5-10 minutes depending upon your walking speed...

Rooms are ok, service was not available when I checked in. Comfortable for family, couples and bachelors who want to stay near Golden Temple. Only one issue was vehicle accessibility near GH, as it is located in very narrow lanes, where one cannot find Auto-rickshaw

1. No Ventilation in Bathroom, 2. No proper ventilation in the room 3. It is very difficult to reach there because guest house is situated in a very narrow street and you can't reach there by car or auto rickshaw. 4. No lift for the elders & handicaps 5. My booking was with breakfast but the lady at the hotel said we don't have any information for this and still she was asking for the full payment. 6. Bathroom & room was uncleaned & AC was not in a working condition Over all pathetic experience

This Guest house (not hotel) is in Bazaar's squeezy roads which is not easily reachable. One cannot reach here by car auto stop little far from the guest house so be ready to pull your luggage to the hotel. Location - Closeby Golden Temple but on the back side of the temple. No auto, taxi can reach this guest house so be ready to spend an hour in finding and reaching here. Otherwise, it is just 200 meter from the temple gate 2. Not safe to walk after 9. Many people told to stay at hotel. Rooms - I got one match box size room (7 ft room height) with no AC working so the night was uncomfortable and full of sweat while the other room was ok (will say a little less as expected) but in the upper floors. Rooms almirah were filled with staff clothes. Bathrooms were dirty(unclean) with sanitary pads hanging, bad toilet seats, toffy size washbasin. Also, ONE THING I NOTICED IN 3 DAYS STAY, THEY OFFER STAFF ROOMS ALSO TO THE GUEST and use same bedsheets. NO TV WORKING. Have to ask the staff to turn on anything like Geyser, etc. NO DRINKING WATER. So be ready to shed money on water. Bought 30 water bottles in my 3 days stay. NO DAILY ROOM CLEANING or be ready to shed 50 rupees for every clean.( seen first time) Staff: Checked-in at 1am in the night and found this matchbox room very unclean . The staff was unprofessional and said the maid will come next day to clean the room and the bathroom so you cannot just poo in this dirty bathroom. Had a little discussion with staff on cleaning and the weird response was "Mere se uchi aawaj me baat mat kar". Utter surprise there was no maid just the same staff to clean the room. HEARD MANY OTHER GUESTS YELLING ABT THE LOCATION, ROOMS etc. OYO WAS NOT SUPPORTIVE AT ALL. SPEECH WAS POLITE AND SOUND HELPFUL BUT DID NOT HELP MUCH. ASKED TO CHANGE THE HOTEL TO AN EXPENSIVE HOTEL AND READY TO PAY MORE.BUT DID NOT HELP.
