Hotel Darbar View

Rooms are very very small. Though very neat & clean, even the washrooms are very clean. Location is very good, if Golden Temple is your destination (it is on Akal Takht Side). Very far off from Railway Station & four wheelers & Autos cannot drop you till the hotel. You will have to take a cycle rikashaw. ||There is no kitchen in the hotel, so no food. If someone wants food, they give you menu of Brothers Dhaba, from where they will order for you. Tea etc is serv d in the room, but not sure they prepare themselves or that too is ordered from outside.||And the thing which I disliked most was - if by any means you reach around 11-12 PM (which is the normal check in time), you will to carry your luggage on your own till your room on the first floor since they do have only 1 person as staff.... And that too is out in the market during this time. I had to request rickshaw wala to help me with my luggage till the first floor on the stairs and then I pulled it till my room. This is poor on their part.||Rooms are very very small, hardly any place to move. And the balcony view they boast of, opens in a narrow lane with shops and hanging electrical wires all around. No use of balcony.||Overall, hotel was good with small and clean rooms. But you can get much better deals in this price range around the same area.

I would recommend this place to all people who would prefer a warm & homely stay. This a perfect budget hotel, very near to golden temple not even 5 mins walk & overall good ambience. Though the location mentioned at time of booking was little misleading however the actual location is very accessible. The hotel staff is just amazing, very helpful, supportive & warm people. They were very accommodating with providing us as per our needs & comfort. I had a great time during my recent visit to Amritsar with peaceful & warmth received. Must visit !!! Thank you for making it a great experience. :-)

Rooms are small but very clean. Staff was very helpful. The receptionist tried to tell us that it was very hot outside and not advisable to go watch the flags lowering ceremony at Wagah border but we were too excited to listen to her. In other words she gave correct advice. Its very close to The Golden Temple and we could go to the temple for Darshan very late at night at around 10 PM and came back at midnight as the hotel is less than 50 meters from the temple. We travelled in July 2015 but selected August 2016 as tripadvisor doesnt have option to select visits from 2015.

Great Hotel!!!Darbar View is just 3 minutes away from Golden Temple. Rooms are small but very very clean and a small refrigerator is also in the room. Helpful and polite staff members. We checked in very late but the staff waited for us.||Everything is in amazing price. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel holiday hill is a great place to stay in Mccleod Ganj. It's central and has breathtaking views of the Truind Mountains. ||The food is great and the trips they can organise are also good. ||The staff are very helpful at all times. It is a place where regular visiters come- so you know it is good! ||I am so happy with the place and the service I have planned my next trip back! A fantastic place to stay indeed!

Close vicinity of Golden Temple and Train station. Rooms are just okish and enough only sleeps. Small room and not very clean. You pay for the location of the hotel. Nearly 200m from Golden Temple. AC is fine and food could be ordeed.

The only good thing this hotel has going for it is its location, minutes away from the Golden Temple. The stairs were steep, the room was very small, floor space allowing for just an cupboard and a bed, the mattress sagged. Not the most comfortable stay.

It was a last minute booking, so our own fault for not checking it properly. the location to the Temple is super. They need to clean out the mold and damp issues. new sheets and blankets would help too, ours has some old stains and not very pleasant cupboard, not that we used it.... sometimes it would just be better to not have these old/broken items in the room.||the building needs a good clean on the outside ...
