Old Hotel with zero maintenance This Hotel is old and since it is near to Golden Temple, you can see they don’t care about any maintenance and cleaning. The way rooms are built, quality is very low. Bathroom smells bad and overall hotel is not maintained. Only advantage is that this is near to Golden Temple and thats it. Also, if you are coming by your own vehicle, you will face parking issue.

Hotel Regal Amritsar Stay : 11/06/24 until 11/08/24 - Stayed at this Property 4 years back in 2020 and had a very good experience hence choose the same for my trip in 2024, neglecting the NRI Option despite being an NRI. The experience in 2024 is worse and here are my reasons - 1. Check in time is 2PM whereas got into the hotel at 2.30 but when asked to change the room it was allocated at 3.30 ~ Manageable but if 2 rooms are booked for family it should be together not on different floors. 2. Booked classic room, there are no proper locking system available on doors/washroom. No electronic keypad available. 3. As per description, there are no iron/pad, refrigerator, towels available. 4. The room stinks, cockroaches are there. 5. The AC doesn’t cools properly. Air Conditioner facilities doesn’t match. 6. No cleaning performed, which is generally everyday. Despite asking for cleaning, it didn’t happe. Cleaning was requested, but was refused as it will happen post 2PM which is their check-in time. This doesn’t match 24/7 service availability. Secondly, the second day, the room wasn’t cleaned themself, nor any cleanup person came for cleaning. Cleaning room, knock for cleaning/ cleanup behind people if people not in the room, it is hotels policy unless requested by people to not enter room. But our rooms were not cleaned for 2 days. When other rooms are cleaned, the garbage is kept in gallery for hours which leads to smell in the gallery for other people to walk through. No hygiene by the hotel. 8. Intercom one of their facilities but wasn’t available in one of the provided rooms. 9. Charging ports are loose. I would not recommend the hotel post my recent trip to Amritsar and staying in it. Thanks.

Good hotel with easy walking access to nearby attractions - the famous Golden Temple! The staff and management were attentive and helpful, arranging transportation from airport as well as to the Attari Border and offering great food suggestions. The room was spacious for the price and generally clean, though there’s room for improvement. Overall, it’s a good value for money, and I can't complain much!

I check in at 7pm called them at 12pm to keep the rooms ready They did not do anything Rooms are filthy and small Beddings are dirty and smelling Staff and manager so rude Do not ever visit this shitty property Commode and wash basin broken Water heater broken spiders all over the room. So pathethic

Found a dozen or so bugs on the bed covers. Called and got the sheets replaced. Then after a few hours, there were bugs on the new sheets. I called reception - no answer. I called from my mobile, got an answer, but no one came to the room as promised. I called back after 20 minutes (during which time I was sat on the chair in the room waiting) I called again, only to get no reply.

The location of this hotel is very near to the Golden Temple, just a few steps away! The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful to us. He even recommended driver to pick us up from/to airport and to the border.
