One Earth GG Regency Hotel Amritsar (80 Steps to the Golden Temple)

Terrible experience, especially due to irresponsible housekeeping. ​We paid for an extra bed, but it was provided the next day only after repeated requests. ​Rooms were not clean, and the pillow covers and sheets were stinking. ​No room cleaning was provided during our stay, even after requesting it. ​The Front Desk staff was irresponsible, blaming absent housekeeping staff in the evening for everything, even though the rooms should have been made ready during the day. ​The only positive experience was at the restaurant. Though the buffet options were limited, the staff was good and the food was tasty. ​The hotel is located very near the back door of the Golden Temple, but this proximity makes car access to the hotel difficult.

Dear Team at One Earth GG Amritsar, I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for two days and would like to share my experience with you. Positive Highlights: 1.The location is excellent— well-connected to the Golden Temple. 2.The family room I booked was spacious and provided a comfortable stay. Areas for Improvement: 1.The pricing feels somewhat high in relation to the quality of service offered. 2. Service promptness and overall room, amenities quite average. 3. I found the breakfast experience disappointing. The options were very limited, and despite giving prior notice, there was no flexibility in breakfast timing. In the future, I would consider booking without the breakfast option as it didn’t feel like good value for money. Overall service was average and could benefit from a more attentive and guest-focused approach. I hope you find this feedback helpful in enhancing the experience for future guests.

This hotel is one of the worst we have stayed at in our life. It does not deserve even one star. The photos online are very deceptive, do not ever stay here! The hotel is absolutely and disgustingly dirty, the rooms, corridors, stairs etc do not seem to have been cleaned and vacuumed in years! The bed linen was stained, dirty and not changed. The towels were literally torn and shredded with food stains. We had to wait for 45 mins when we arrived and it was past check in time. The staff were unfriendly, manager was rude and obnoxious. This hotel should be shut down!!

Stayed at One Earth GG for Golden Temple Darshan with family. The hotel is right behind the Gurudwara near Gurudwara Atal Rai – very convenient for visiting anytime. Reaching the hotel is a bit tricky through narrow lanes, and the surroundings aren’t as appealing as the Heritage Walk. Rooms were comfortable and ensured a good sleep. Special thanks to Ms. Simran, who served us high tea with great courtesy. Overall, a comfortable stay with unmatched access to the Golden Temple.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Amritsar! The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the Golden Temple. The lobby is spacious and grand, creating a great first impression. Rooms were spotlessly clean and I was lucky to get one with a beautiful view of the Gurudwara — truly special. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. For the price, the experience was well worth it — very reasonable and value for money. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Amritsar!

I recently stayed at One Earth GG Regency for one night. The best part about this hotel is its location – it’s very close to the Golden Temple, which makes it extremely convenient for visitors. The room was clean and tidy, although it was quite small. If you’re someone who prefers more spacious rooms, this might not be the best fit. One major issue I faced was with parking. The booking voucher clearly mentioned that parking is available, but upon arrival, no parking was provided by the hotel. This was disappointing. Future guests should note that even if parking is mentioned, the hotel doesn’t actually offer it. Be prepared to pay around ₹250 extra for overnight parking elsewhere. In short, it’s a decent option if your priority is proximity to the Golden Temple, but don’t rely on the hotel’s parking claim.

Hygiene and responsiveness to any issues one may raise during stay are a big problem. Other than that, it's a decent property. The hotel is right next to the Golden Temple and within walking distance of the market.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely cooperative, humble, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. The rooms were clean and comfortable, The seniors Chhavi and Veerpal was very nice and helpful and their team was also good and the food was delicious. The location is excellent—just a short walking distance from the Golden Temple, making it very convenient for visitors.
