RENAISSANCE HOTEL

Two years ago, I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel, and it was a truly cozy experience. The location was right by the beach, the rooms were spacious with luxurious furnishings, providing ample space to relax and take a stroll without needing to leave the hotel premises. Despite its reasonable room rates, the services offered were of exceptional quality, easily surpassing those of hotels charging three times as much. It's unfortunate that the hotel is now closed.

We stayed in Premium room, during 10 to 13 February 2023, which is excellent - large, with all necessary fittings, king size very comfortable bed, neat & clean, wash room is equally good and clean. Room service is available and staff are very cooperative. Location is a bit away from main market. If anyone love to enjoy the serenity, this is the idle place. Sea beach is at stone thow distance. However, the restaurant area needs to be looked into, specially the house keeping and hygiene.

Firstly no one knew it's location and we had to roam about for one hour just to find an old hotel at the periphery of Puri. Dilapidated Hotel far from the beach and the market.Had to spend huge cost for just going to the beach and coming back.The room had cracked walls. The washroom was dirty and fungus growing on it's door😖😖. The food was very junky and costly. Used to get lunch after 2 pm and dinner at 10:30 pm😒....We were shifted to another room which had a broken window. No auto driver was willing to go there.The cost was superfluous but the maintenance were poor. Never visit this hotel even in your dream....

I am a genuin reviewer. I booked and visited their hotel and had to leave without staying. Dont waste your money here. Dont book their hotel online. Bad behaviour and service. They looted my money.

Please read before booking 1. The gates close sharply at 11 PM and you are not allowed to enter the premises after that. If you go out on a trip or dinner you have to return before the gates close. No requests are entertained beyond that. Somewhere I felt it's more of a hostel where you are obliged to follow the strict rules and regulations. 2. The fail to provide rooms at the promised check in time. We got our keys at 8:30 AM and till that time we had to wait. But they will expect and ensure that you check out on time. 3. Majority of the items in the menu are not available. You have to order 3 hours in advance if you want to eat anything from there. If you want to have dinner at 10 PM then you will have to order at 7 PM. Beyond that they won't accept orders. Food quality is pretty much average and outside food is not allowed. 4. Extremely mismanaged and untrained staffs. The ones sitting at the reception barely know how to operate a hotel. Luckily only the bell boys are cooperative. 5. No room service beyond 11 PM. Not even a bottle of water. Strange but true. 6. You are not even allowed to heat up water for your baby. You have to get it from the hotel and the worst part is most of the times we found dirt in it. So if you are traveling with a kid beware. 7. No are no security guards or even a gatekeeper. 8. The windows are damaged and are in a leaking state. If you are traveling during monsoon your rooms will seep water through those cracks. 9. During checkout we received an erroneous bill even for items we did not consume. Luckily we found out. 10. They have a tendency to extract money for every little thing. During booking I disbelieved all the negative reviews but most of these apparently turned out to be true. 11. Guests concerns are not being looked into. 12. We were told that out of the 3 rooms we booked 2 would be sea facing rooms. But to out surprise there is another big hotel in front of this hotel which partially blocks almost the entire view. 13. For any add on services be prepared to hear a big 'NO'. Overall I belive it's not worthy enough considering what I paid to them.

Over priced room tariff. Rooms are not at all Sea Facing. AC is not working properly. Food quality is average. As complementary breakfast we got 4 bread slice and one boiled egg. But the behaviour of the staff is good. Location of the hotel is too far away from swargadwar(auto fare rs 100-one side). They charged just double of the room tarrif. Too much show off and big sounding word by the manager. All over our experience is poor. Do not visit.

Bitter experience encountered having stayed in this hotel. Reviews about the hotel given by different boarders are totally true. Surprising enough these reviews are adversely reacted by the hotel authorities, instead of redressing the boarders' grievances. There is no signs of maintenance. Boarders are forced to shift to lesser rate rooms in mid stay. Toilets fittings are broken or don't function properly. Utensils are old and dirty. Cost of foods is very high with room service charge @ 10%. This hotel is not known to local auto, toto drivers and mostly booked through middlemen. Not a good hotel for stay.

Writing this review after 4 days stay. Location : Far from sargodwar, puri market and temple. It's the end of puri, need to take auto from here to reach sargodwar paying 100 Rs for every trip. But the sea beach is near if anyone wants to enjoy only sea then it's 4mins walking distance though no sea view as there are properties in between. And the sea beach is also empty nothing to be found on the beach. Room: no room service daily had to request, damp rooms, only positive thing about room is very spacious. The toilets are water logged once a person takes bath, i stayed in 207 first floor rest rooms i don't have any idea. Power back up is good. It's more like holiday home, water tank gets empty need to ask the manager to refill. Service: the food is very very poor, very spicy and too much with masala, quantity is good. But time and services are very slow. Requested for less spicy food for kid but they provided food that had no taste , no salt with loads of masala. For early tea u have to call up manager atleast 3times. That also after 8am requesting for tea. Behaviour: the owner is very cooperative when u start to book the place, the manager Saha babu is also cooperative but overall there service here is not upto the mark as compared to other hotels. I personally want to give 2 stars.
