Shivangi Hotel and Restaurant

My experience at Hotel Shivangi, Puri was not satisfying. The room needs serious maintenance. The bathroom was very old, and most of the taps and the shower were not working properly. Even the door was dirty, which immediately gave a bad impression. The worst part was the bedding. The bed, bedsheets, and pillows were all dirty — not just the covers, even the pillows inside were stained. When we checked in, they provided used blankets, bedsheets, and pillow covers, which was extremely disappointing and unhygienic. The staff members were decent and polite, but the management needs major improvement in cleanliness, room upkeep, and guest readiness. Overall, not a comfortable stay. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously and improves the condition of the rooms.

I had a very pleasant 2-day stay at Hotel Shivangi. The room was spacious, neat, and clean with a well-maintained ambiance. One of the highlights was the large balcony, which provided a relaxing space to unwind. The room was equipped with all necessary amenities, making the stay comfortable and convenient. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our visit. Room service was quick and efficient, which added to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend Hotel Shivangi for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Low poor service ...facing problems rooms and bathroom ... And room price 3000 ..that's ok but feel like one star hotel ,..not feel 3 star . . Same price i shifted next day with same price and there service awesome and service, room cleaning clean supperb .

The hotel offers a comfortable stay with clean rooms and helpful staff. The service is good, and the food is tasty, with a variety of options. The location is convenient, around 2.2 km from Jagannath Temple and a short walk from the beach. Housekeeping is well-managed, making the stay hassle-free. There’s no lift or parking, but that wasn’t an issue. Overall, it was a great experience and a good choice for a pleasant stay.

The rooms look clean in pictures but when you see up close the bed sheet sticks, towel seems used. I have put pictures of towels which we were unused by us and this is what they gave as their fresh towels. They have a good heater, good a/c. The food is not that good. We ordered tea they got it cold, toast was not good. Dal roti is good. The price we paid for the place is not worth it. Location is good. They have kept extremely cheap soap and shampoo which is not good so carry your own toiletries incase you are willing to stay. The place is located near a barren place where plants are grown and little garbage is dumped. so when you go the balcony it stinks. The staff kept is okay but the cleaning they do is not good. They wiped our table with a dirty cloth and no matter what it remains dirty. There were dead 2 - 3 insects when the room was given and we had to ask them to clean it. And there were mosquitoes in the room and mosquito repellent is useless. The water also stinks. Please check your bill because they added mineral water in it which we never took from them. They lied and charged extra for 6 bottles and we never took even one of it. So I would not suggest anyone to stay unless you don’t have any options available. This place has fake reviews and we got tricked.

This was my 1st visit to puri, I booked this hotel from booking.com at a reasonable price for two days. How the rooms are shown in photos are exactly the same with the sea view balcony. I booked two rooms for two days, The rooms are good for 2+1 person, also there is a sofa km bed available, room service. And the best is from there The temple was also nearby. You can take auto from outside of the hotel only from 50-100 rs. The hotel location is also at a very common point that is a light house and nearby the sea. Overall it's very good compared to the other hotels and Dharamsala. The best part is that the sea beach is at a walking distance of 300 meters and the sea market.

This was our very first trip to Puri and we went without any prior booking. We booked this hotel on spot after checking 10-15 hotels. Now coming to the hotel. Positive: Firstly, Receptionist and all the hotel staffs are very well behaved, friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is located just behind the lighthouse/Gurudwara children park. View from the sea facing room is good. It is peaceful yet not far from any of the facilities. Sea beach is 2 mins walk away. Plenty of restaurants all around but I preferred their in house food. It is fresh and really good. Rooms are big spacious, clean, daily maintained with good washrooms. It made our very first trip memorable and pleasant. I would prefer this hotel for our next visit as well. Negative: Only negative point I felt was the price. It was a bit on higher side. But this was OK given the long weekend dates. And it can be considered as a common thing at all tourist places. So this is not really a negative point.
