Yogi Ashram Guest House

More than pathetic. We stayed Yogi Ashram Guest House at the month of December 2024. We booked it because we carried away with the reviews of the hotel which all false. Rooms: Rooms are very dirty and need maintenance. Room we got allotted, there is no hot water coming, lock is broken of the washroom as well as of balcony. Room were dirty and not cleaned. Room Service: As per owner statement they don’t offer room service. We had to carry our luggage from first floor to ground floor as we had issue in the room. They even don’t have lift. Their support staffs are very rude even the manager is rude. Restaurant: Their restaurant is pathetic. I checked their room it dirty. We ordered some Paneer gravy and they did not have paneer and took 1.5 hours to serve it because they went to market to purchase and cook it. Taste was also ackward. Not worth waiting 1.5 hours. Parking: They don’t have plenty of parking space. We were lucky to park our vehicle inside but they only have space to park 4 vehicles and beyond that you need to park your vehicle outside at the main road.

I was only supposed to stay here few days but ended up staying over a week. This town is literally in the middle of nowhere India but it was exactly the soul food I needed. I had a beautiful room overlooking the garden and the room was big and clean and one of the better rooms I've stayed in. I enjoyed the beautiful conversations I had with the Yogis and the meditation and breathing techniques they provided me. The staff in general was extremely friendly and attentive and the food was beautiful. As a solo female traveller I felt completely safe and well looked after. I also spent a lot of time visiting the amazing western temples in town and I suggest you plan more than one visit, because it was a lot to take in and amazing energy. I highly recommend this Ashram for some soul food.

A very nice ambience and a location very near to the main group of temples i.e. the Western Group of Temples makes it all the more endearing. The front facade is very much like shown in the pictures-lush green with a lot of birds living on the property. We had booked 3 basic double rooms but were checked into Deluxe rooms as the Basic rooms were full, at no extra cost. The rooms were very nicely decorated and had a great ambience and lighting. All deluxe rooms are having a balcony and the balcony opens into a huge garden (lawn) which makes the stay all the more pleasurable. The rooms are spread on the ground and first floors.||The hotel has an in-house restaurant and the managers/owners made sure that we did not go hungry in spite of reaching at a very odd hour of 11pm in the night due to a vehicle breakdown. The dining area is amidst lush green trees and it is spread onto the ground floor as well as the first floor. The food served is very tasty.||If you are a birdwatcher like me and have a knack of trying to find birds even at non-birding places then Yogi Ashram will not disappoint you. I could sight at least a dozen of bird species in and around the property with the highlight being the sighting of Jerdon's Leafbird on the campus itself and a pair of peacocks on the boundary wall of the property. Other notable sightings included Indian Silverbills, a pair of Great Thick Knees in the areas behind the property, Grey hornbills on the trees abutting the property. I am attaching some images of the property but I guess i have deleted the pictures of the rooms by mistake.||The hotel has an in House ayurvedic doctor and various types of ayurvedic treatments/massages are offered at this property at nominal rates. It also has a Yoga and Meditation centre in it's facilities. Overall a complete package.||The only downside to this is the lack of an intercom facility (maybe they want you to walk ).||I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. The tip is to book the deluxe rooms which are a real value for your hard earned money.

Magnificent, it was one of our best hotel stays in India! They organized to have us picked up from the train station when we arrived very early in the morning, and let us check in right away. We had a wonderful deluxe room with a balcony, overlooking the huge lush garden. The room itself, and property are very clean and quiet, situated in the middle of nature, so it has breathtaking views of beautiful landscapes and exotic birds. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly, really sweet and kind people, we really appreciated their service! We at at the hotel restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our stay several nights, and the food was always fresh and delicious! Attended a yoga session that was very interesting and invigorating! I'm still very much looking forward to having some recommendations on books, from my instructor that evening, to continue in my research on spirituality, consciousness, and philosophy. Hope to receive them soon! Highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a peaceful, nature loving, environment! Namaste

I don't think there are enough stars I can give for my experience at Yogi Ashram Guest House. A perfect place to be away from the city noise. Beautiful rooms and the best part, they are super affordable. And the cherry on the top, the management...trust me when I say I have stayed in tons of hotels all over the country but the hospitality was incomparable to anything I have ever experienced. If you are going to Khajuraho, I strongly recommend you to stay at Yogi Ashram Guest House. You can thank me later

we stayed in this lovely guest-house for 3 days.  the location is very near to the main group of temples i.e. the Western Group of Temples, we rented 2 bycicles which are perfect to move around , infact we reached also the East group of temples with the bike. the center is 20 min. walk.|the room are nice and big and have a great window, a lot of light coming into the room. our room had also a balcony that opens into a huge garden (lawn) which makes the stay even more pleasant.|the owner Scenesh organized pick-up on our arrival at train station. also all the other people of the staff are very kind and attentive. they are all very helpful for all our needs: they bought train tickets for our next  journey to Agra and booked a hotel for us there. Scenesh is a Yogi and gives Lesson of Hatha yoga. we had it on the roof outside which was so pleasant, expecially  in the morning with the sun. they also organize meditation session. |they offer free Ayurvedic doctor |consultation and very good professional  massage for a reasonable price. the food is tasty and healthy.| I hope I can get back in this very pleasant place.

This is one of the best budget hotels in khajurao. The distance of the hotel from western grouping temple is hardly 2KM. The ambience is very good. It has large spread lawn and open seating arrangement of the restaurant. The food rate is reasonable also tasty.||Yogi Shailesh who is one of the partner of the property is very helpful for all of the needs you have. They teach you free Yoga and meditation, although personally from my experience one or two days yoga and medication teaching will only guide you what is yoga and medication. For true learning many days practice is required. They are expanding there yoga and medication hall in a bigger way.||They also have aryuvedic doctor's consultation facility which is a addon for ayurvedic buffer.||Few odds were there during our stay that may happen at any hotel which I am not mentioning as those were minor.||||For person looking for good budget hotel in Khajurao must try Yogi Ashram.

Basic rooms, stinking blankets, poor toiletries, shortage of towels, leaking washrooms, improper maintenance. Unhygienic kitchen, poor service. Very less choice of breakfast. Room charges are very less but food rates are extremely high. e.g. Tea for ₹50 per cup. Itz like a Dharmshala. Outside Environment is very nice. Massage charges start from ₹ 1000. The guest house need to improve kitchen & service. However people are good.
