Hotel Russel ( VN residency )in Jabalpur, MP, is the absolute worst hotel I've ever encountered. They have zero regard for their customers. My friends and I booked two rooms through OYO, but at midnight, they told us that only one room with a capacity for two people was available. Neither OYO nor the hotel resolved our issue. The manager, Vishal, is completely unhelpful and a manipulator. He falsely lists room availability on OYO and other online platforms, takes advance payments, and then cancels your booking if he gets a higher offline price. This is unacceptable and downright shady. Avoid this unhygienic and terrible hotel at all costs. Don't waste your time and money on this pathetic excuse for a hotel. They don't deserve your business.

The rooms are very small and ordinary. The washroom was not up to date as the commode was not working well. Basic amenities like water, towel was not kept ready.

I checked in the hotel quite late as my train was delayed by around 5 hours, The owner refused to give me room but on showing my booking he allowed me to enter and gave me a room. He demanded the cash and didn't update my check in status on OYO, to which my final status showed your booking is cancelled at the hotel. The owner told me that I was not allowed to make the payment online and told that I will not be alloted a room if paid online. The receptionist didn't provide me any blankets, bed roll and towels too! It was a bad experience at OYO VN residency, Jabalpur! I request OYO to improve their hotel service and help me with my concerns!!
