Hotel G.K. Palace

There is no option of negative rating otherwise i would have given it. Worst hotel charges are like 3 star n facilities are awfully disgusting. Pictures and reviews are all fake, dirty bedsheets - not cleaned, dirty rooms and washrooms, maintenance staff is not working at all. Mattresses are stinking. All travellers please do not waste your time n hard earned money on this nonsense hotel

Manish at Front desk was simply exceptional. Best experience ever of any hotels we have ever stayed at. We booked 6 rooms and chopped and changed the number of rooms required for 3 nights every night. Nothing was too hard for Manish. Every single request was met with a smile and "yes can do" attitude. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was nothing short of excellent. We also dinned in on two days & every dietary request was met with "no worries" attitude. We had also requested Manish to arrange for 3 cars to take us around the place and also at time have them for the whole day. He never said anything was too difficult. All requests were met with exemplary customer service. This hotel is a hidden jewel with excellent staff. Cannot reccomend it highly enough especially when 5 star hotels fail to deliver the level of service Manish and his staff delivered. I will definitely be staying at this place again when travelling to Bhopal again.

Rooms and service are excellent. Hotel is located at quite busy area but it will not bither you much. Doesn't have full fledged restaurant here but they made breakfast/dine-in area in a lobby which is very small. Doesn't have much options or variety in the food. Also quality of the food is not upto the mark. So one star deducted.

They spread two small single bed bedsheets to cover a double bed, this crumples both the bedsheets and you end up adjusting the bed through out the night. They use torn bedsheets with holes. Toilets remain wet as the wash basin is small and very low in height. Very musty and damp smell in the rooms. The reception staff on the day of departure was very rude. The hot water tap is not put on inspite of giving clear instructions about the time of departure. The restaurant/dining room has two types of stairs, first you descend and then climb up to enter the dining room. The ascending stairs do not have a railings to support and ease climbing for Senior Citizens. Besides the stairs are very steep to climb.

My stay was only for 2 nights however I found the service was utterly poor especially of the staff at Reception. They are very uncooperative and rude. For a simple thing as a printout of a ticket they don’t do it willingly and easily. Kept on lingering the request but had to eventually do it. As far as room service is concerned it is again pathetic. Even after asking for tea bags for more than 4 times they were not sent. The breakfast served has variety but once cold, the staff has to be asked to reheat it. Noone is attentive enough or say actually not into good customer service. Only good thing is the rooms and food. They really need to work on their laid back attitude.

The room was large, clean and adequately furnished. There were basic bathroom amenities, and hot water was available at all hours. The staff was pleasant.||They let me work with my team in the lobby without any complaint. The lobby had a lot of mosquitoes though!||Breakfast started a bit late by my standards (8:30 am) but then Bhopal seems to start its day late. The breakfast poha was good (try the fried green chillies with it!) and they asked if I wanted sugar in my tea (I didn't :-).||The location was really convenient for my work. Unfortunately though the hotel is surrounded by hardware shops all around. Still, there's an ATM two shops down, and a poha-jalebi stand a 2-minute walk away.||All in all, very pleasant although no-frills. I would stay here again if a similar work trip brought me back to Bhopal. For a holiday, I would choose a more residential neighbourhood.

Good Hotel for a day or two business visits, beat and clean rooms, well furnished, facilities like wifi, free buffet breakfast, lift is old but considering the size of hotel it should not be problem. Location is also good as MP nagar is one of the busiest place in bhopal. Adding to above staff is also good and supportive.

Hotel has all local staff who is locally courteous but raw. Services are ok and this hotel is a better option compared to other local hotels in nearby. If you are ok with stay in other areas, then Bhopal has many other better options.||If need to stay in MP Nagar area, then choose GK Palace after comparing rooms and rates with other local hotels in neighbourhood.||The breakfast is good but breakfast timings are odd and starts too late (8.15am was official time and the food was served post 8.45am)
