Springs Inn

Sometimes your bookings for stay turn out so good that you feel just wow about it. Didn't expect Springs Inn to be so good at the pricing at which I got it through Goibibo. It's a Homestay with rooms in an outhouse kind of thing. Rooms are neat and clean with most basic amenities. Ac, TV, hot water works fine. Bed is comfi and bathrooms well maintained. A great host as well who is ready to not only serve but also help out its guests in knowing around the place and other services including hosueboat , shikara, ayurvedic massage etc. We ultimately booked the houseboat through him as well which turned out to be real good. Cheap room for a night before we went to the Kerala backwaters.||Cochin airport is 2 hrs away and you can organise for the driver to pick you up for 2225 rupees. It's a bit pricier than other taxis but it's a few dollars for convenience. ||Joined friends who were already staying here. Breakfast is included with the room with jam and butter and tea/coffee, bananas and omelette options. The room is simple and all you need. There's a nice cafe directly across the road too which overlooks the river. ||The beaches are a tuk tuk ride away. |We paid only 70 rupees to get to the train station but got cheated for 350 one way to the beach on our first day as newbs, so make sure you barter! Makhani restaurant a few doors away cost us $3.50 au each for 3 dishes between 3 and hit the spot. This is a quieter spot with not as many tourists.

Nice room with private bathroom, ac and free wifi. Very clean and cozy. ||Breakfast was served just outside the room in the porch.||Host was very nice and gave us helpful suggestions.||||It is located 5 min walking from the city center and just in front of the canals where backwaters ferry leaves.

A good place to stay in A/C or Non A/C room as per your choice. A surprise balcony adjecent to each 3 nos rooms at ground floor with small table & chair for personal job With a celling fan . Best of all Mrs. Depti from Kottayam who cares for your morning Breakfast, cleanliness, mosquito problem. She As a host always with you if you face any sort of problem.

This is a great little place right on the canal in Alleppey. Room was very clean, with a nice size bathroom and a lovely little porch to sit out on in the evening and have (a very nice) breakfast in the morning.||||The owner is a likeable and very helpful guy, who arranged a fantastic 4 hour backwater trip for us that took in the smaller canals that larger boats can't go down.||||There is a nice coffee shop opposite and a few good restaurants within short walking distance.||||Highly recommended!

Absolute gem in alleppey!!!||||Great location, 10mins walk to the houseboat docks and on the canal.||Wifi is great, check in fast and breakfast is perfect for price. Served outside the room at a time of our choice.||We stayed two nights, either side of houseboat and were very well looked after. Thank you!

Small hotel right on the canal. Nice clean room, good breakfast, lovely porch to sit outside the room and relax and very helpful owner who arranged a great boat trip for us and gave good advice. Perfect place to stay in Alleppey.

Yep, perfect for a quick stay in Kollum. Nice little place close to the boat jetty and also close to a few good restaurants.|Train station is about a 15 minute rickshaw ride away.||The only downside was the beds were absolutely rock hard and could do with a second pillow.
