NillAmezing stay for 3days in Sri Nagar with family of 3 members. Location is very good, just near the Dal lake gate no. 1. Food and service is awesome and ambient of the hotel, specially the center garden makes cherry on the pick. Only prone is that the room whi h we took, deluxe 3 bed room are too small, after placing 2 trolly bags there were no place to walk in the room. However rooms are well equiped with heater and ac, there will be no issue to stay if you are couple. Recommend the hotel

NillThis was a wonderful trip of Kashmir. Zaffar Saheb made it comfortable and excellent with their services at the Hotel and at their Houseboat. The Hotel is located at Dal lake which makes it a nice stay. Most importantly Akbar Hotel group has its own hotels in Srinagar and Sonamarg. The staff at the both the places is kind and helpful. I had heard from my friends that houseboat stay are not wise. But, the Zaffar group of houseboats at Nigeen lake are wonderful to stay.

NillI recently stayed at Hotel Akbar in Srinagar, and overall it was a really comfortable and pleasant experience. The location is one of the best parts — being close to Dal Lake and surrounded by beautiful scenery adds a lot to the stay. The peaceful environment makes it a good choice if you want to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Kashmir. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities you would need. Cleanliness and room comfort are generally appreciated by guests, and the overall value for money is quite good. The food was decent, with a reasonable variety, and everything was served fresh. Service was smooth, and the staff were polite and cooperative throughout the stay. The hospitality really stands out — the host and the family is so welcoming and helpful whenever we visit, which makes the experience feel more personal and homely. Overall, Hotel Akbar is a good choice for travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a great location and warm hospitality. It may not be ultra-luxurious, but it offers a satisfying and relaxing experience.

NillHotel Akbar is an excellent place to stay in . The rooms are clean. The staffs are very attentive and courteous. The services provided by them are very fast and spontaneous. The sprawling garden in the Jotel adds to the beauty. Last but not the least, the ambience of the Hotel is top notch.

NillYou need to walk 300m, through a narrow, not so clean walkway as cars cannot reach, the biggest con to the hotel. They will send their folks to pick your stuff from the road, but you have to walk the last qtr mile, it's hard especially after long day trips. Toilets, bedsheets, restaurant was clean. Food was tasty, had breakfast and dinner for the three days. The spread is not big, you get one non veg (egg for bf and chicken for dinner). Except for first day some mango based kheer, the sweets kept for dinner such as rice kheer and Kesari were not tasty. BF: sandwich, poori/poha, juice, tea, coffee, egg omelet. Dinner: rice, dhal, two veggies, chicken, curd, roti, sweet. The room was cramped. No proper place to put the chair in the room, cupboards are dated (seemed dusty, filled with blankets and not really usable). Woodwork such as drawers are mediocre, shows up as a budget hotel. Just soap and a pair of towels was kept, no other toiletries was available. Nice wooden sofa was available in the balcony. In one room the mosquito door banged with no control and in other room, the door was rubbing the floor making it hard to open or close. Dint like the side of Dal lake this hotel is situated. The lake was unclean and in some locations smelly. Service was good, all folks had a smile, wished and we're prompt. When we came one night late for dinner, they were kind to keep the counter open to accommodate us. Tip to owner: Location is something the hotel cannot control. But it can be positioned as something guests will be able to reach via boat, as an additional service. This can get interesting for guests, a way to change cons to pros.
