Mud House Nature Tones

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at the mud house. The setting was serene & beautifully connected to nature with the natural architecture and earthy ambiance created a calm and relaxing environment. A special mention to our host, Mr. Johin, who made our stay even more enjoyable. He is very friendly, a true nature lover and guided us throughout our time there. He shared so much interesting knowledge about the local environment. The hospitality, cleanliness were excellent & we highly recommending If you're looking for a stay that connects you with nature and leaves you refreshed.

A Perfect Getaway in Naturetones Mud House – Marayur We had a sudden holiday plan and were looking for a cozy and peaceful stay when a friend recommended Naturetones Mud House. From the very beginning, Johin Sir, the owner, guided us through everything — right from the route to planning our activities. The stay exceeded all our expectations — the mud house was not only beautiful and comfortable but also surrounded by nature’s calm. The food served was absolutely delicious and homely. We stayed for 2 days and had an amazing experience exploring the area. We visited Kanthaloor for a stunning sunset, went on a 3 km trek to a serene stream, and visited the beautiful Lakkom Falls the next day — all well-coordinated by Johin Sir. It’s a perfect stay for families looking to connect with nature and unwind. We’re already looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommended!

We had a very beautiful stay at nature tones, this place is a home away from home and very kids friendly. My one year old daughter enjoyed her stay very much. The owner accompanied us throughout the trip and took care of all our needs. Overall it was a very close to nature stay, had a great experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nature Tones Mud house and i must say it was truely a rejuvenating experience. The resort's picturesque location surrounded by lush greenery and rolling hills, provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. A special mention to our host, Mr. Johin, who made our stay very comfortable. Mr. Johin who is the owner of the resort guided is throughout our stay. He even accompanied us to all the sight seeing locationsand explained all in detail. We had the opportunity to stay in both the Mud House as well as the Wood House. It was oor first experience staying in a mud house, which was truely comfortable surrounded by nature. The view from Wood House balcony was really breathtaking. The food served was delicious and homely. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staffs were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. A special thanks to Mr. Moideen and Mr. Vineesh. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect getaway..

Thank you so much for your valuable service provided for me and my family. All our members were so happy. This is value for money. As Boche always says.. you are not Mr.Johan you should get to known as Mr.Mudhouse, your efforts for guests are amazing. Very nice tasty food we had. This Mudhouse is really given a fresh and unique homely experience. I can guarantee that no one can give a service like Johan gives in whole kanthalloor. We need to encourage such Authentic MudHouses and Responsible Tourism.! “Guests pls be aware that some highly businesses oriented non authentic stuffs are there nearby, pls don’t get mislead.” This is the FIRST MUDHOUSE ever happened at kanthalloor.! Built and maintained since a decade.

We had a wonderful stay at Nature Tones. Mr Johin took care of all our requirements. He is a great host, and personally accompanied and guided us around the places, be it taking us to the special locations for spotting birds, trips to the national park, and trekking into Chinnar Forest. Mr Mohideen attended to our needs, and tends to the garden and flowering & fruit trees with love and dedication. We recommend this place to all nature lovers, birders and for those who just want to chill for a few days.

We had a wonderful & rustic experience. Very authentically built mudhouse, very clean, great fresh hot food and an exceptionally good host who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Just fyi, this is in the wild, so do expect some creepy crawlies here and there. It's nothing that would hinder the wonderful experience we had, though!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely villa for three nights in March 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property is immaculately maintained, nestled in the heart of nature. The small garden right outside the villa is a beautiful touch, attracting a variety of birds that come to drink and feed—creating a peaceful atmosphere. Throughout the day, we enjoyed the soothing sound of birds chirping from all around. Johin, the owner, is an absolute gem. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, making us feel like part of the family. His passion for nature is evident; as a naturalist with an extensive knowledge of local wildlife, he shared fascinating insights about the birds and animals in the area. Johin also helped us plan local sightseeing, recommended delicious food spots, and guided us on forest visits. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious—home-style meals that truly enhanced the experience. Johin and his family live on the property and were always available to help with any need we had, adding a personal touch to our stay. We had such a wonderful time, and we’re already looking forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend!
