It is a very good budget hotel near the Temple and Dasaswamedh Ghat. The staff are very helpful and we found them always with a smile. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The bed linens were clean. No restaurant though. The location is a big plus with lot of eateries nearby. The hotel arranged for a vehicle for the local sightseeing at a very reasonable rate.

The hotel location cannot be any better being located in prime position in Godowlia on the main road, just few meters away from Shri Viswanath mandir Gate 1 and Dasashwamedh Ghat. The staff behaviors is great, polite and always ready to help. Now coming to the rooms, the main issue we faced is the cleanliness in the rooms. Room was not cleaned properly and there was spider webs with small spiders in the corners, which was later removed by the staff after we complained. Lots of restaurants nearby within few minutes walking.

I had a pleasant stay during my trip to Varanasi. The rooms were clean and the location was convenient for visiting temples and ghats. The manager’s behaviour was excellent—very polite, respectful, and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. Overall, it is an average hotel. The services are not very good. Drinking water is not provided properly—there is no doorstep service, and guests are asked to collect water on their own, which does not feel professional. Cleanliness and maintenance also need improvement. I did not find the hotel well-managed, especially considering the location. The hotel is opposite Vrah Temple, and Triveni Ghat is very nearby, which is a big advantage. There is also a Rajasthani hotel within 500 meters. Because of such a prime location, the property has great potential. However, the management needs to work more on professionalism, services, and cleanliness to make the stay better and more comfortable for guests.

I have enjoyed my stay in the hotel nicely. Location is very close to main gate of Baba Bishwanath temple. Also adjacent to restaurants, market as well as river ganges. Behavior of staffs is good and responsive. I shall prefer to visit this in my future visit also.

Overall I will give 3.5 stars to Hotel Shivratri. We stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe category room 5th December to 7th December, If I talk about location then this hotel is undoubtedly one of the best because Temple, Gadowlia Chauraha & Dashashwamedh ghat, restaurants are all close to this hotel. Now if I talk about the room , then I will say average - room condition should be better though room was overall clean & room service was also prompt, you just need to call the reception for room service. One good thing is - Lift is available in this hotel & Benarasi sari shops also available in the 1st floor of this hotel & you can book car service as well from this hotel for sightseeing, we hired a car for Ayodhya trip from this hotel and it was good experience. Overall, A decent hotel in Varanasi.
